A compact polymer–inorganic hybrid gas barrier nanolayer for flexible organic light-emitting diode displays

Abstract Atomic layer infiltration technology allows the formation of a nanometer-thick polymer-inorganic hybrid barrier in polymer material for flexible organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays. In this study, according to transmission electron microscopy and secondary-ion mass spectrometry analysis results under various process conditions, compact nanolayer was successfully formed good performance revealed with low water vapor rate optimal conditions. Additionally, through gas chromatography-mass measurements after ultra-violet radiation testing, out-gassing decreased compared bare polymers. Based on properties, applied OLED display as substrate. During storage tests folding tests, exhibits reliability better flexibility those an inorganic layer. These confirm that is suitable
